The recent reports state that New York State will soon have its seventh online sports betting operator up and running.
Wynn Interactive has received regulatory approval to launch its mobile sportsbook app: WynnBET in New York’s newly regulated online gambling market. The company will join six other active operators.
WynnBET has announced that it will be launching its online products before the upcoming Super Bowl which is set for February 13th, 2022. Due to such a tight turnaround time frame between now and then, we can expect an imminent launch very soon.
In November last year, the New York State Gaming Commission approved a total of nine gaming brands to operate in mobile NY sports betting.
WynnBET would become the latest mobile sports betting provider to launch in New York. PointsBet NY was last out of all seven companies, shortly followed by Caesars Sportsbook.
The first sports betting sites in New York started operations on January 8th, 2018: Caesars Sportsbook, DraftKings NY, FanDuel, and BetRivers.
New York is still waiting for BallyBet and Empire Resorts to receive regulatory approval. This means that the new casino won’t launch until at least April, according an interview with Contessa Brewer on CNBC by Chairman Soo Kim of said company.
