Given the stiff competition in the NY online sportsbook scene, Bally Bet has some pretty big expectations to meet. 

Right off the bat, it is important to mention that Bally’s does not offer new NY players a welcome bonus. While this definitely puts the brand at a disadvantage, there is still a ton of value to be had for New York sports bettors! 

This value is mostly in the form of a revolving door of both seasonal and recurring offers, a solid loyalty program, and competitive odds. While there are definitely some areas that can be improved upon, we are confident in saying that Bally Bet is a safe and reliable brand.

It’s not a universally positive review given our concerns with the limited amount of payment methods the brand accepts amongst some other minor gripes, but overall, we can categorize Bally Bet as a “safe pair of hands” for bettors in New York looking to join a new sportsbook.

As mentioned, Bally Bet does not offer a welcome bonus for NY players, which is definitely a drawback for the brand as they don’t have a hook to entice new customers. 

However, given the level of competition in NY between brands and Bally’s substantial presence in the gaming industry as a whole, we don’t believe it a stretch to say that we expect them to remedy this situation soon. 

Despite the lack of a welcome bonus, Bally Bet does offer other promos that are more than worthy of your consideration! This includes a Parlay All Day promotion that allows users to bet a parlay of four or more legs and receive a $25 Free Bet if just one of the legs loses.

Once you’ve wagered those initial welcome bets, there are a couple of other bonuses and promotions that returning customers can claim with no Bally Bet promo code required.

There’s the Happy Hour promo that is available on Mondays and Thursdays, via which Bally Bet customers enjoy reduced spread lines of as much as -105 on NFL and college football games.

There’s the chance to earn loyalty points as well, which can be redeemed at Bally’s Casino properties across the United States. You can also earn trophies from your betting, which can then be exchanged for free bet credits and more.

As we come towards the end of this Bally Bet review, we wanted to mention their unique ‘trophies’ loyalty program.This VIP package is not unlike many others, but as well as earning points for your staking, you can also pick up trophies as you progress through the ranks.
The trophies are a nice accolade, but it’s what they represent that really counts – free bet credits can be claimed when you win particular items of silverware. You can win free bets of up to $100 once you have made 100 winning wagers, as one example, and there are plenty more prizes available for win streaks, backing underdogs, successful parlays, and much more.

It goes without saying that Bally Bet offers odds for the most popular sports and competitions, but the depth that they go into marks them out as one of the premier sportsbooks around. You can place single bets on your favorite sports or parlays/teasers and one of the useful features of the bet slip is that it shows you the total potential win from your wagers – a nice touch, particularly when making parlay bets.

The grey and red color scheme will not be to everyone’s liking tastes and Bally Bet does not offer the most exhaustive selection of sports to wager on, but as betting experiences, this is as simple and hassle-free as you are likely to find online.

There’s a multitude of betting options available within each of those sports, with the standard markets well backed by a comprehensive selection of player and team props. Parlay bettors that want to mix things up can place round robin bets instead when they want to hedge their bets somewhat. This is an excellent additional form of betting that can be lucrative. However, Bally Bet does not provide a same-game parlay feature, which is becoming increasingly prominent at other sportsbooks.

One disappointment of Bally Bet comes via their live betting platform or a better way to put it–their complete lack of one. Several US sportsbooks offer live bets from around the world throughout the day and night, but Bally Bet fails in this regard.

There’s also a clear lack of depth that goes into each live game, so you won’t find stats, trackers, or anything else that might supplement your in-play betting experience. It’s a real disappointment that Bally Bet doesn’t have live streaming via their website or app, as many of their competitors boast NHL, tennis, international basketball, and many other events to watch.

When rating the generosity of their odds, Bally Bet neither stands out as the best-value bookmaker in the game nor the worst. We found their points total odds to be more generous than moneyline and spreads in our testing, with half or even a full point better off than some others in the market.

We’re happy to report that their futures lines – particularly in the various NFL markets – very much stood up to scrutiny. Although, they were fractionally short in the NBA Championship category when compared to others.

All things considered, the Bally Bet Sportsbook delivers a decent enough experience that both newcomers to NY sports betting and those that know the game will enjoy, even if their live betting channel really could use a complete overhaul.

We are waiting for the day that Bally Bet is integrated with an online casino that Bally’s develops, hoping a cross-platform wallet will be introduced that can be used simultaneously at either of the platforms.

The live betting channel at Bally Bet could be heaps better, but as a solid all-rounder goes, this is a brand you can trust to deliver.
