The New York Giants are back in the win column after a 14-7 victory over the Washington Commanders in Week 7.

In this contest, New York scored its first offensive touchdown since Week 3 against the San Francisco 49ers. The Giants also scored their first touchdown in the first half all season, when quarterback Tyrod Taylor found tight end Darren Waller for a 15-yard score.

Plus, the Giants saw Saquon Barkley find paydirt as he continues to work his way back from injury. The running back managed to injure his arm during the contest, but still played all 60 minutes

The Giants are coming off a win in the second game Tyrod Taylor started under center. Plus, the one time the Commanders scored in this contest came after receiver Sterling Shepard muffed a punt. Washington worked on a short field.

On the other side, the New York Jets are coming off a bye week. This break is after the Jets took down the then-undefeated Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6. New York boasts a defense with an immense amount of talent that should cause problems for the Giants.

It’s a battle between two of New York’s NFL teams, and one can continue to turn around disappointing starts to the season. Here are the best prop bets to look at with the Jets vs. Giants odds.

JETS VS. GIANTS ODDS: Back the Under at 36.5 (-105)

Whenever there is a line in football that is under 40, heads should turn. In this contest, though, heads should be turning in the right direction. A 36.5 line is one to smile at when discussing the matchup between the Jets and Giants.

While it may seem like the Jets offense has been stagnant with Zach Wilson leading the charge as Aaron Rodgers went down with an injury in Week 1, the former BYU quarterback has stood tall. In each of the last three weeks, New York has scored at least 20 points. The Jets have only eclipsed the 30-point mark once though, and the offense it goes up against is significantly less talented.

For the Giants, this is a team that scored just 14 points last week. The numbers go deeper though. Before its contest against the Commanders, New York had not scored an offensive touchdown in three weeks. Plus, the Giants had not scored an offensive touchdown in the first half. The offensive output was encouraging given that the Giants found paydirt, but 14 points is not nearly enough.

This is an easy bet with two offenses that have had some low moments in 2023. Take this number at BetMGM.

Saquon Barkley and Breece Hall Combine for 200+ Rushing Yards (+500)

The offenses for both the Jets and the Giants have been bashed thus far, yet this is a prop bet that could easily hit. With these odds, this is an easy one to take and root for.

Even with the struggles of the offensive line for the Giants, and the recent injuries, Saquon Barkley eclipsing the 100-yard mark is not totally out of the realm of possibility. Barkley has not accomplished this feat in 2023, but came seven yards short against the Bills.

On the other side, Breece Hall is no longer on a snap count, and the Jets are even listening to trade offers for Dalvin Cook. In other words, Hall is the guy in New York’s backfield. Against the Broncos, Hall had 177 yards three weeks ago. The Giants do not present a scary front, so expect Hall to run all over the field.

Saquon Barkley and Breece Hall have the potential to have a field day, so this prop on FanDuel is one to take with high upside.

Jets vs. Giants Alternate-Line Odds of NYJ -6.5 (+164)

This is an alternate spread on DraftKings that is banking on the Jets to get off to a fast start. Plus, it is betting on the Giants to struggle in a back-and-forth game or in a game where they are behind.

The Giants were successful against the Commanders because it put pressure on Sam Howell and continued to play with a lead. New York, outside of its matchup with the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2, has not shown that it is capable of playing from behind. Expect the Jets to score first, and the defense will then shut down the Giants offense.
