The 2022-2023 NFL season has concluded with the Kansas City Chiefs topping the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 to win their third Super Bowl. The game came down to the wire but was ultimately decided by a Harrison Butker 27-yard field goal in the closing seconds. The season just ended but it’s not too early to turn our attention to next year’s Super Bowl odds.

We’ll take a look at Super Bowl 58 odds and preview several team’s chances.

Chiefs Are Favorites to Repeat, Bills Not Far Behind

The Chiefs have now won two Super Bowls in five seasons with Patrick Mahomes as their signal caller. Mahomes is only 27 but has already established himself as a future Hall of Famer. He’s a big reason why the Chiefs are early favorites to repeat next year as Super Bowl champs.

The Chiefs didn’t come into the 2022-2023 season with huge expectations due to the departure of star wideout Tyreek Hill. However, they proved everyone wrong and were once again the class of the AFC West. The Chiefs have now won the AFC West seven straight times and will be big favorites to make it eight next season.

NY sportsbooks vary on who they’re taking as the team with the second-best odds to win Super Bowl 58. The Buffalo Bills are one of the teams in the mix for that honor. The Bills carried a 13-3 record into the postseason but got trounced by the Bengals at home in the divisional round. It was deflating for a team that had major Super Bowl aspirations coming into the year.

The Bills will be a top team again next season. They have talent on both sides of the ball and will surely be AFC juggernauts again next year. The challenge will be getting over the postseason hurdle.

Other Teams In the Mix

After losing in the Super Bowl, the Eagles will be looking to recharge this off-season before going on another run next year. Jalen Hurts proved himself as one of the top quarterbacks in the game and the Eagles pass rush put up historic numbers. They’ll have a team capable of going on a Super Bowl run again next season.

The San Francisco 49ers will once again be in the mix. The 49ers reached the NFC Championship this year but were undone by not having a healthy quarterback. Quarterback Brock Purdy was the underdog story of the season. Purdy put together some stellar performances but is not a lock to be San Francisco’s quarterback next season. What they decide to do at the quarterback position will be one of the stories of the off-season.

The Cincinnati Bengals round out the top five. The Bengals have made the Super Bowl and the AFC Championship in the past two seasons but have yet to raise their first Lombardi Trophy. Joe Burrow is one of the top quarterbacks in the game and should have the Bengals back and hungry as ever next year.

As For the Giants and Jets

The Giants aren’t getting much respect from oddsmakers after reaching the divisional round of the NFL Playoffs. In fact, Caesars is putting the G-Men in a tie for the 15th-best Super Bowl odds next season, at +4000. The Giants weren’t a team that was blowing people away this past year, but head coach Brian Daboll finally has the Giants playing winning football.

The Jets are getting a lot more respect than their New York City rivals, despite collapsing down the stretch. This is in large part due to the expectation that they will be signing a big-name free agent to fill the quarterback position next season. One of these names is rumored to be Aaron Rodgers.

The Jets had an outstanding 2022 rookie class. Their two first-round picks, cornerback “Sauce” Gardner and wide receiver Garett Wilson each captured rookie of the year honors. Not to mention their second-round pick, running back Breece Hall, looked like he was going to be in contention for the award before tearing his ACL.

The Jets Super Bowl 58 odds are currently listed at +3000 on Caesars. These odds will get even shorter if they manage to sign a top free-agent quarterback.
