The US Open semifinals are now set in both the men’s and women’s game. There were fireworks in the quarterfinals with the Australian Nick Kyrgios dropping a 5 set thriller to Karen Khachanov. The loss prompted a fitting racket smash outburst from Kyrgios. In the women’s game 18 year old American, Coco Gauff, was bounced in straight sets by Caroline Garcia.

The only American remaining on either side is Frances Tiafoe. Tiafoe stunned the Tennis world by beating world #2 Rafael Nadal in 4 sets in the Round of 16. The American will now go up against the betting favorite, Carlos Alcaraz, in the Semi Finals.

Let’s take a look to see what the NY Sportsbooks are saying about the US Open odds so that we’re ready to make the most accurate selections.

Frances Tiafoe’s Chances

Of the four remaining players in the men’s game, Frances Tiafoe has the third best odds to win the whole thing, which are listed at +410 on FanDuel. Tiafoe will now be tasked with going up against 19 year old Spanish superstar, Carlos Alcaraz. The world #3 has the best odds to win the tournament at -120.

What Tiafoe will have going for him that the rest of the field won’t is the overwhelming crowd support. Tiafoe has captured the hearts of the New York City crowd after becoming the first American to reach the US Open Semis since Andy Roddick did so in 2006. You can bet the US crowd is going to come out in full support of Tiafoe on Friday.

Tiafoe’s odds are listed at +152 to beat Alcaraz. Neither of these players has ever reached the Grand Slam Semis, so Friday’s contest will be unfamiliar territory for each of them.

Here’s how different NY Sportsbooks have the matchup odds listed at:

US Open SemisFanDuelBetRiversBetMGM
#3 Carlos Alcaraz-194-182-189
#22 Frances Tiafoe+160+155+150

Tiafoe is the clear underdog in this one. The sportsbooks have similar odds tables, so you can place this bet wherever you want.

Can Anyone Stop the World #1?

In the women’s game, Iga Swiatek continues to dominate. The 21 year old is the #1 ranked player in women’s tennis, and is hungry for her third Grand Slam title. She’s set to go up against world #6 Aryna Sabalenka. Sabalenka is yet to ever make a final of a Grand Slam tournament. Her odds to do so in this one are +146 on FanDuel.

The other semifinal matchup will feature Ons Jabeur and Caroline Garcia. Neither of these women have ever won a Grand Slam tournament, although Jabeur lost in the Wimbledon final back in July.

Garcia has the attention of the US Open crowd after knocking out fan favorite Coco Gauff in straight sets. The French woman has yet to drop a set in this tournament, and is just starting to play her best tennis. She’s a favorite over Jabeur, and has the second best odds to win the tournament, at +210. Swiatek is the favorite at +130.

Best Bets

If you want to put money on Frances Tiafoe, skip the MoneyLine wagers and go straight for it all. His +160 odds to beat Alcarez pale in comparison to his +410 odds to win the whole thing. Alcaraz is the toughest competition left standing between Tiafoe and a US Open Title, making the latter bet a smarter one.

The US Open crowd is going to have a lot of energy when this matchup gets started. Try taking Tiafoe to win the first set. You can do so for +128 odds on FanDuel.

Alcaraz odds to win it all are -120. It’s best to stay away from this bet, as the value isn’t there.

On the women’s side, both Swiatek and Garcia each represent good bets. They’ve been playing the best tennis, and have the two best odds to win the tournament. A final between these two women is waiting to happen.
