The Buffalo Bills won on Thanksgiving, but their recent struggles and Kansas City’s dominance propelled the Chiefs to better Super Bowl 57 odds entering Week 13.
Sportsbooks regularly update their Super Bowl 57 odds boards as each week in the 2022 NFL season passes. But one of the constants throughout this year has been the Buffalo Bills as the odds-on favorites to win the Big Game. But recent struggles for Buffalo, coupled with impressive wins from the Kansas City Chiefs, has resulted in the Bills’ Super Bowl 57 odds fading somewhat.
Heading into the December section of the schedule, the Chiefs stand atop the odds boards for New York sportsbooks. Despite losing a head-to-head matchup to the Bills in Week 6, Kansas City scored a fifth straight win last week, topping the defending Super Bowl champs, the Los Angeles Rams, 26-10. Buffalo, meanwhile, went 3-2 over that same span, with a pair of tough losses and escaping Detroit on Thanksgiving with just a 3-point victory.

Over at DraftKings, the Chiefs continued their climb to the top of the Super Bowl 57 odds board with that fifth consecutive win. Kansas City saw +1000 odds in Week 1 this year, trailing the Bills and Tampa Bay Buccaneers to start the season. The Chiefs shared those odds with the Green Bay Packers, who have since faded to +30000 at DraftKings.

The Bills find themselves somewhere other than the top spot on this odds board for the first time since mid-March. Buffalo saw their odds fade slightly following back-to-back losses earlier this month, but held on to their favorite status through Week 11. However, the Bills needed a stunning driving in the closing seconds on Thanksgiving to grab a win over the middling Detroit Lions. Their odds weren’t helped by the fact that Von Miller left last Thursday’s game with an injury.
The Bills open the NFL Week 13 action with another Thursday game, this time playing the Patriots in New England. Miller’s absence robs Buffalo of its best pass rusher this season. Miller leads the Bills with 8.0 sacks and 12 quarterback hits, registering 10 tackles for loss as well.

Other Super Bowl Contenders
The Dallas Cowboys moved into the top five on most Super Bowl 57 odds boards with their 28-20 victory over the New York Giants on Thanksgiving. Dallas maintained their pressure on the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East with the win. The Cowboys see a softer section of the schedule commencing with a three-game set against AFC South opponents. Dallas started the season with +2200 odds to win the Big Game. Since Week 1, the Cowboys odds have shortened to better than 10/1 at this point, one of only five teams that can say that.
The Miami Dolphins held on to their lead over the Bills in the AFC East thanks to a 30-15 win over the Houston Texans on Sunday. The Dolphins won their fifth game in a row and saw their Super Bowl odds continue to improve. Miami started the season with +4000 odds and saw +1800 heading into Week 12. Now moving to a tough Week 13 matchup in San Francisco, the Dolphins see +1600 odds at DraftKings and BetMGM.
Jets and Giants Super Bowl 57 Odds Going in Opposite Directions
The New York Jets scored a dominant win on Sunday, topping the Justin Fields-less Chicago Bears 31-10 at home. Gang Green made a change at quarterback heading into this contest, and Mike White rewarded them with 310 yards passing and three touchdowns.
At 7-4, the Jets have been one of the surprises this season, and their Super Bowl 57 odds shortened even further after the latest win. New York went from +10000 at DraftKings in Week 12 to +7000 heading into Week 13. That sets the Jets in the top half of the odds board going into a difficult Week 13 contest in Minnesota against the Vikings.
The New York Giants, meanwhile, saw their Super Bowl 57 odds fade once again. The G-Men dropped their Thanksgiving Day game in Dallas, and have lost three of their last four overall. The Giants opened the year 6-1 and saw +8000 odds at DraftKings in Week 12. But heading int Week 13, New York now sees +15000 odds to win the Big Game.
The Giants have a pivotal game for their playoff odds next week when they host the surging Washington Commanders at MetLife Stadium.
