The AFC and NFC title games will be held this weekend to decide who plays in Super Bowl LVII on February 12. The four teams still remaining all have legitimate shots at raising the Lombardi Trophy. This is reflected by NY sportsbooks’ Super Bowl odds. Unfortunately for fans looking to see a New York-based team still in the mix, that won’t be happening, as the Giants and the Bills were each eliminated last week.

We’ll preview each game and give the betting odds along with a few tips for NFL’s Conference Championship matchups.

San Francisco 49ers @ Philadelphia Eagles

The biggest underdog story in sports continues into this year’s NFC title game. Brock Purdy, the last pick in the 2022 NFL draft, will get the start under center for the 49ers. He’ll go up against what many see as the best defense in the league. The Philadelphia Eagles did not disappoint last week, as they took care of the New York Giants, 38-7.

Jalen Hurts has continued to impress this year. The quarterback was said to be nursing a shoulder injury last week. Hurts was still able to do his thing, making big plays en route to a dominating victory.

The Eagles are favored to return to their first Super Bowl in five years. Nick Sirianni has done a great job in his second year as the head coach of this team. He’s turned the 10th-best total defense in the league into the second-best in yards per game. The only team ahead of them? The San Francisco 49ers.

The over/under is set at 46, which means NY sportsbooks aren’t convinced this is going to be a defensive showdown. The big question mark for this game is if Purdy can keep it up with the stakes this high. He’ll be going into a hostile environment against a team that knows how to turn the ball over. If he has another good game, we’ve got a good chance of seeing Mr. Irrelevant on the sport’s biggest stage.

Cincinnati Bengals @ Kansas City Chiefs

This game is being considered a toss-up. We saw one of the more drastic line shifts when the odds were first put up. The Chiefs were initially 3 point favorites at home before the line eventually shifted in favor of the Bengals. As it stands now, the Chiefs are favored by a point.

What shifted these odds was the question marks surrounding quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes hurt his ankle in his team’s divisional-round game against the Jaguars. The quarterback had to head to the locker room and he missed a good portion of the second quarter before returning for the beginning of the second half.

Mahomes returned to practice on Wednesday. The Chiefs quarterback sounds like he’s going to do what it takes to play on Sunday.

Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has gotten the better of Mahomes in the three times they’ve faced each other. This includes last year’s AFC title game and a regular season game this season. Granted each game has been a nail-biter, with the Bengals winning each of them by three.

The Bengals are winners of eleven games in a row, and will be looking to punch their second straight ticket to the Super Bowl. The Chiefs, meanwhile, will be looking to get back to the Super Bowl for the third time in five seasons.

Conference Championship Weekend Betting Info and Tips

The 49ers and the Bengals have each had a lot of success against the spread this year. San Francisco has covered in 10 of their last 11 games. After Cincinnati failed to cover in their first two contests of the year, they’ve gone 13-2-1. Meanwhile the Eagles and Chiefs have not had nearly the same amount of success against the spread this season.

All three of the career meetings between Burrow and Mahomes have exceeded the total for this weekend’s matchup which is set at 47. Laying some money on the over in this one wouldn’t be a bad idea.

As far as prop bets go, look to take the 49ers to punt on their first possession. The odds are in minus money but there’s still good value with a rookie quarterback tasked with dealing with an amped up Philadelphia crowd.

As for prop bets, Isaiah Pacheco to score a touchdown has good value. Pacheco found the end zone against Cincinnati earlier this year and is a big part of the Chief’s offense in the red zone. His odds to score in this one are listed at +150.
