Despite having the better overall record, the New York Jets travel to Foxboro to face the New England Patriots as an underdog in the betting odds for Week 11.

The Jets (6-3, 6-3 ATS) enjoyed a much-needed bye week following their stunning upset of the Buffalo Bills in Week 9. The New England Patriots (5-4, 5-3-1 ATS) also got the week off, and they too enter coming off a victory, a 26-3 win over Indianapolis that led to the Colts firing head coach Frank Reich.

New England has dominated this matchup over the last decade, going 21-2 outright since 2012. New York’s lost 13 in a row to the Patriots, and New England covered the spread in nine of those contests. The Jets haven’t won at Gillette Stadium since 2011. A loss to the Patriots would drop the Jets to last place in the AFC East.

Here’s a look at the best betting odds for this grudge match between the Jets and Patriots.

The opening lines for this game between the Jets and Patriots has remained fairly consistent with their betting odds. Most sportsbooks set New England as a 3.5-point favorite this week and it’s largely stayed in that range despite most of the betting action thus far backing the Pats.

It’s no surprise this game features Week 11’s lowest Point Total projection at sportsbooks. Neither offense has been particularly impressive and both defenses stand among the best in the sport this season.

NFL Week 11 Preview: New York Jets at New England Patriots

This remains an important game for both clubs as these teams jockey for playoff positioning. This game stands as a rematch of their Week 8 bout, one in which the Patriots topped Gang Green at MetLife 22-17.

Jets quarterback Zach Wilson set a new career-high for passing yards in that one, but also threw three critical interceptions. Despite that, Wilson claims he has nothing to prove against New England. New York have failed to score more than 17 points in each of Wilson’s three career starts versus the Patriots. He’ll need to be much better in this one against a defense looking to get after him.

New England will look to force Wilson into winning this one, too, while seeking to control the ground game against a Jets defense that allows 131.3 rushing yards-per-game on the road. Rhamondre Stevenson generated 143 total yards against the Jets in Week 8 and looks to be a focal point of the offense once again. The Patriots offense remains conservative with Mac Jones at the helm, averaging just 161.3 passing yards per game over the last three.

This game come at a key point in the Patriots’ schedule. New England faces stiff competition over the next three weeks, as the Pats play a winning Jets team, then travel to Minnesota to play the Vikings on Thanksgiving, before hosting the Bills in early December.

Betting Trends Affect Jets, Patriots Odds

Several betting trends affect the odds in this grudge match between the Jets and Patriots. New England enters having won 13 in a row outright against the Jets, having not lost to New York since 2015. They’ve covered the spread in nine of the last 13 in this series.

The Pats sport a 5-1-1 mark against the spread in the last seven games versus the Jets in New England. That said, the Jets come to this contest 4-0 against the spread on the road and 4-0 against the spread versus winning teams this season. The Pats enter 1-4 against the spread in their last five against AFC opponents, however, that lone cover came against the Jets in Week 8.

The Under is 9-4 in the last 13 meetings between these clubs. The Jets have seen the Under hit in each of their last four games and in six of their last seven following an ATS win. The Under is 8-2 in New York’s last 10 road games against a team with a winning home record.
