The New York Giants come to the 2022 NFL season with renewed hope following a failed 2021 campaign marred by injuries.

The G-Men’s quarterback, Daniel Jones, missed the final six games of the season, but he’s in line to resume his starting role under new head coach Brian Daboll: If Jones, and the playmakers around him, remain healthy this season, betting his player props becomes appealing thanks to the offensive-minded Daboll.

The Giants drafted Jones sixth overall in 2019, making him the heir apparent to Eli Manning in the Big Apple. However, after an uneven three years in New York, Jones faces a “make or break” season in 2022. The Giants didn’t pick up Jones’ fifth-year contract option, leaving his and the team’s future at the position in question.

But with optimism entering the new season, those Daniel Jones’ season-long player props stand out with favorable odds for fans to wager.

Daniel Jones Season-Long Player Props

Jones enters Year 4 of his NFL career looking to get back on track. He threw 24 touchdowns and passed for 3,027 yards during his rookie year, but has yet to build on that success thanks to injuries and failed leadership. But New York bettors look at these season-long Daniel Jones player props and see potential value with these odds.

Passing Yards

SportsbookDaniel Jones Player Props: Passing Yards
BetMGM3699.5 (-115)
DraftKings3650.5 (Over -125/Under +105)
FanDuel3449.5 (-112)

FanDuel went lowest with the over/under for Jones’ regular season passing yards total at 3449.5, with -112 odds for both the Over and Under. Bettors should consider the Over in this wager. If projected out over a 17-game season, Jones would have cleared 3450 yards in each of his first three seasons based on his production.

What’s more, the Giants’ passing game features a number of game-breaking talents on the outside. Josh Allen, the Buffalo Bills quarterback, threw 646 passes last season with Daboll as his offensive coordinator. Jones’ career-high in pass attempts is 459, so look for that number to increase this season.

Passing Touchdowns

SportsbookDaniel Jones Passing Touchdowns
BetMGM21.5 (Over -120/Under -110)
DraftKings21.5 (Over -120/Under +100)
FanDuel22.5 (Over -102/Under -126)

For his career, Jones averages 1.1 passing touchdowns per game. He set a career-high with 24 in his rookie season, but only threw 11 in 2020 and 10 last season. Projected out over 17 games at that rate, Jones could throw 20 touchdown passes in 2022, which would hit the Under for this prop.

DraftKings lists the Under at even money (+100), and FanDuel favors the Under in this wager as well. One thing to consider with this bet would be Josh Allen’s development under Daboll in Buffalo. Allen threw 36 touchdowns in fourth season and averaged 1.7 passing touchdowns per game with Daboll as OC. If Jones nears that figure, he should clear the Over with this player prop.

Rushing Yards

BetMGM349.5 (-115)
DraftKings350.5 (-115)
FanDuel374.5 (-112)

Among the Daniel Jones player props, rushing yards might be the most likely to clear the Over. Jones has flashed his scrambling talent throughout his career, gaining 1,000 rushing yards over three seasons so far. Looking at that past production and applying it to a 17-game schedule indicates Jones would’ve cleared FanDuel’s 374.5 projection in two of his three seasons.

Jones’ career-high in season rushing yards came in 2020, when he gained 423 yards despite playing in only 14 games. Under Daboll, Buffalo’s Allen often deployed as a runner and never once finished with less than 400 rushing yards.

Health obviously remains a mitigating factor in these Daniel Jones player props for 2022, as he’s missed time in each of the last two seasons due to injuries.

Jones Looks Ready for a ‘Make or Break’ 2022

Recent reports indicate Jones continues to excel at Giants training camp. Couple that information with a slew of offensive weapons returning from injury and the addition of an offensive-minded head coach, the favorable odds for Daniel Jones’ player props look all the more appealing.

Daboll comes to New York with a proven track record of developing quarterbacks. With an improved offensive line and healthy skill position players, the Giants may very well look to unleash Jones on the league. His play makes the Giants’ betting specials at New York sportsbooks even more intriguing. There’s a ton of upside with Jones and these wagers.
