Bally Bet is aiming to launch its Q2 in New York

SBNY » Bally Bet is aiming to launch its Q2 in New York

Bally Bet, one of the nine mobile sportsbooks authorized to operate in New York, intends to launch in the state by the end of Q2.

During Bally’s first-quarter earnings call on Thursday, CEO Lee Fenton revealed those plans. However, the launch has been delayed by a few days because its mobile sports betting platform was not completed until May 4.

“We launched in Arizona yesterday with our first version, and later this quarter, we’ll launch in New York. This is a major milestone for us, and it demonstrates the team’s enormous hard work. I’m pleased with all of the effort that has gone into bringing our technology platforms together,”

If Bally Bet New York keeps its promise, all of New York’s legal betting shops will be up and running by the end of June.

Bally’s Should Launch Before June Is Out

The second quarter of the year will come to a close on June 30, so if everything goes as planned, the ninth New York online sports betting business should start taking wagers in the next two months.

According to Kim’s speech, Bally Bet will concentrate on a more long-term, sustainable strategy based on its product rather than free deals.

“We believe that the existing form of sports betting is not a fantastic business,” Kim added. “It’s a good company; it’s not a great one… I believe people will stop competing solely on the basis of free money, but they’ll begin to compete on the basis of offering better products.”

The Bally Bet’s Fundamental 2.0 Mobile Sports Betting Platform

In 2021, Bally Bet made several purchases to improve the quality of its mobile gambling offering.

The company made several acquisitions, including betting platform BetWorks, daily fantasy sports provider Monkey Knife Fight, and gaming software firm Gamesys.

Monumental action: The monthly sports betting handle in New York has now risen to $6 billion for the fourth consecutive month. Nevada is still a far more appealing gambling destination.

Bally’s Long-Term Plan

Bally’s Corporation plans on being one of the best gambling companies in America: The company has put together a portfolio of gaming and technology properties that it believes will make it a leader in the space.

The company’s current focus is on getting its sports betting platform up and running in as many states as possible. So far, Bally Bet has launched in Arizona and New York, with plans to expand to more states later this year.

Bally also established a partnership with the Cleveland Browns last week, giving market access to Ohio and boosting its market coverage area to 18 states.
